We had the opportunity to be able to brew with our local friends Pressure Drop. Previously based on the otherside of London Fields park in Bohemia Place, which is now home to the Experiment between them and Verdant. Known for their big hop heavy IPA’s and historically consistent Pale Fire. We couldn’t resist creating a juicy IPA. 7% DDH GUAVA IPA
Over the past few months, with the rise of the West Coast Pale again, the conversation has been touching on the clarity of the beer. After a night out with our friends down South at Gipsy Hill, we came up with a plan to make quite similar beers but the only difference would be it’s clarity from the speciality malts.
Earlier this summer I was lucky enough to travel to New York to visit some of our friends. We decided to head to Long Island to visit Barrier brewing. As soon as I set foot through the door Mike had pulled out a beer and as soon as I saw it I reached into my bag and also pulled out a beer. We both made beers named “Kapow!”, that was the moment we decided we had to make a hybrid! Smashing our two Kapow!’s together we got “Kronk!” an 8% double IPA.
